Talking Hey Im New Here.... (DIXBUILTIT)

Hey all, i joined up and wanted to introduce myself and what im building.

ive got a 2008 JK that im doing a 7" rear stretch, 3" front coilover stretch on ud60 axles.. For extra kick im dropping in a V8 LT engine! Custom seats, cage, and just about everything one can imagine!

Here are a couple photos, the jeep is getting painted blue right now but should prove to be a nice build when finished!

If you want to see more check out my instagram @Dixbuiltit and my youtube channel (same name)

Cheers!

Welcome to JKF. Nice choice of engine (see my footer). What tranny are you using and hopefully you use a 2016 or earlier ECU and harness. Motech have discontinued the Mocan interface module and now use a replacement ECU/Interface unit to replace the Jeep ECU. Comes with heavily modified wiring harnesses so diffrent than mine. You can get GM Upfitter manuals for wiring free on the internet. They are really good wiring diagrams.

yeah ive got a 2016 engine and 6l80e, going with RPM Extreme for my harness. they claim its very plug and play. I havent got the kit yet, the wait list is a few months out for one. been focusing on the suspension and cosmetic while i wait.. I need to get it looking halfway like a jeep and then i will start on the drivetrain!

I believe RPM use the Motech interface module which Robbie has superceded with an integrated one-piece Mocan/Jeep ECU replacement design. The wait may be long. You may want to ask RPM the question if this is the case. Mine is in for repair as it was kaput right from the get go. Robbie would normally replace it and send me a new one but he is repairing mine so there is a mitigating message to what I say. Also a friend with a later LS conversion is getting his Jeep into Motech shop to be totally reconfigured by Robbie and this was what he was told.
