Default HEy MODS - Bug with search function

I was searching the for sale section for one of my old post. I entered the words" rear tow hook" and it gives me this message

"vBulletin Message
The search term you specified (tow) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.

If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.
"

Is this a feature you just changed? It seems that having to use 4 words is a bit much. What if someone is searching for a rear bumper? What do they enter? " Stock Rear Bumper ????"

I think that 2 words max should get the results. I was searching with 2 words last night and it was working ok. SO what gives?

Thanks

Oh it would also be nice to have a part of the board where we can report problems and such. Like a "Help section" hint hint

I think it wants to say "Letter" instead of word.

it doesn't like any word with fewer than 4 letters

You can try putting quotes around it... or just use google.

I searched last night with the words "tow hook" and it pulled up my post. Today I get the message.

Google will not work when you are searching the for sale section.

you gotta enter "tow* hook". the search doesn't like words with fewer than 4 letters.

the wildcard is just the '*' character.. which means you'll get results with anything in that character's position.. so you might get "tows" or "towp" or "tow4" in your results also.. but it should still give you a pretty good result set.

I just did a search for "rear tow hooks" and it came up fine. Your post came up number 1. Make sure you put quotes around the phrase when searching and it should work

Thanks I just did it. I am willing to bet it could have been operator error. What about the help section.
