Default Hi Lift Rust

I recently purchased a hi-lift extreme jack, and mounted it to my or-fab tire carrier.

After just a few days, it's already got a decent amount of rust on it already.

Is this normal? I would have thought it would have been reasonably rust resistant considering what it is/used for.

I don't know about the Xtreme hi-lift but the rust is normal on other hi lifts. no way to prevent it other than a touch up spray of WD-40 AFTER EACH USE.

It's common, you can POR it. It's very tough, rust won't take it out that quick. Mines been rusty for about 8 years.
