I just thought of one, why not unzip the sports cover on the roll bar, and hide it in there somewhere?

I am surprised that my JK does not have a lockable hood. Guess I will have to buy locks for this one also having done so for the 2005 Unlimited.
You scare me. What is wrong with leaving it in there? Why are you surprised about the hood not locking? Did you see something that said it locked?

pssss big brother is watching you

I keep them inside the nice heavy-duty pouch my owner's manual came in. There is a card holder inside the cover that fits my insurance card perfectly. The whole lot stays inside my locked glove box.

Put them in a zip lock, envelope, fishing license holder and velcro them in the recess in the lid of the center console. Still accessable, yet fairly hidden. You dont want to be digging around under your seat or dash with a nervous officer approaching.

That said keep in mind documentation should be easy to get at if pulled over. I run the risk and take the cnahce putting mine in my locked glovebox. Tuffy makes security boxes for the center console and glove box and I am sure a sponsor has them. I do not under any circumstances recoment you put anythi g water might damage in the "trunk" if your top is off or down.
Yeah, rummaging around the jeep might not be such a good idea with a cop there.

"License and registration please."

"No problem, just let me get it"

"Sir I'm going to have to ask you to keep your hands visible."

"Just a sec, it's right down here"

"SIR, PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!!!!"

"Ahhh here it is..."

"BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG......*reload*........ BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!!!!!!" (Take notice the cop in the "demonstration" above is an LA cop, all of whom are notorious for being overreacting jerks.)

I have to admit, we are lucky here in Australia and don;t have to carry that information around with us. We are usually asked for our D/L if we are pulled over and that is it.

But the creation of a good hidey hole is an excellent idea to hide parking station entry tickets. Saves having to carry them with you and possibly losing the damn thing!

The problem with storing docs that are easily availible is not the docs themselves. I learned that it is fairly common for thieves to break into your car steal your Garage Door opener and Registration, now he knows exactly where you live and can simply open the garage and take whatever he wants.
I was also told that cops are very understanding about hiding these docs and do this on thier personal vehicles, so if you simply tell them they are locked somewhere they should allow you to get them. Unless of course you are acting suspicious anyway.

i still have all my documentation locked in there, but things are different here...
