If you added the tow package, it comes with a L/S rear diff and the 3.73's. Considering you mentioned occasional towing, I am assuming that is what you did.

As far as the A/C - get it - you may never use it, but like you said, it will be a lot harder to sell it later (if you sell it) without.

are you certain that the tow package includes the limited slip rear? I custom ordered my 2012 and researched it to death. In that year, these were certainty two distinct, unrelated options you could choose. I got the max tow, but do not have the anti-spin since my research convinced me that the BLD was adequate for my needs. Here is a pic from the 2012 buyers guide.

Default just my opinion

If you don't get the 3.73 you will wish you had later. I have the manual with 3.21 and wished I had the 3.73's. The 1st gear is way to high. It will idle at 7-9 mph.

Things might have changed, the Tow Package, for $350 (aprox) is only the receiver, and flat four plug in wiring harness. The 3:73 is separate, as is LSD .
I can get receiver and wiring from Quadratec for $ 80. Easy install.
The A/C is being added, probably 3:73 as well .Thanks for the input.

Don't they have two separate tow packages? One is "tow" and one is "max tow". The tow having the receiver and wiring and the max tow adding the 3.73 rear for non Rubi. Now, the max tow would only be for the jku, not the jk. At least this is how it was set up in 2012.

I had a 2012 JKU! with Max Tow ; hitch, harness, 3:73, anti-sway control software .
The present 2015 2 door only lists hitch, harness.
Another way to jack up price.

I don't think 2 doors ever had the max tow option. I've also read on here that all JKs an JKus now have the anti sway as standard, so no need to list it as part of a tow package.

A buddy had the 2013 JKU and with the tow package. Part of that tow package was 3.73 and a rear LSD.

Jeep changes these packages all the time. I wouldn't be surprised if they mix it up year to year based on expected demand.

Based on feedback here, I think I'll override my Cheapskate Nature, and get the 3:73 option. The extra low-end torque can be priceless, it is a 6 spd . Plus I got a $516 dollar coupon from Jeep towards 2014-2015 new purchase.
