Default Hilift vs x jack

It may seem funny to you people but the hi lift jack scare the heck out of me, I have seen cars fall off jacks before on concrete so the inflatable X jack by ARB
looks a lot safer to use . Has anybody seen one and do they work well. I cant find any stores that stock them , but that doesnt seem to indicate much in the off road industry.

Quadratec sells it. I don't have one but I have heard good thing about them. However not as versatile as a hi lift.

getting both would solve everything, and free up plenty of space in my wallet. lets keep in mind the jeep already has a scissor jack so three jacks might be over kill . It just seems to me a person with little off road experience that trusting feet, hands and my ride home on an item nicknamed the widow maker might not be the best option.

I actually use an ARB Hi-Lift jack base with the OEM scissor jack. This combo works surprisingly well even with my 4" lift and 35s (hence my selling of my Hi-Lift to P Dizzle).

If you have a flat, and your Jeep in a trail with big rocks, YOU WILL appreciate to have a hi lift

Im sure at some point I will want one or regret not having one not one, but a person can say that about many things. It sure seems that to take advantage of all the things a hi lift can do you need a bucket load of extras but for digging out
of sand or changing tires the inflatable jack seems better, but I dont have any experience with either so who knows. I do like the idea of the hi lift platform and my screw jack. To sum it up I just cant see ARB making something like the x jack if it didnt work, they sell far to many 1000 dollar items to risk thier rep. on a 200 dollar item.

In sand, I can see where an inflatable jack would be easier to use. I have seen the video for the x-jack and it looks like it would be safer to use than a hi lift, but there may be some places you would not be able to use the x-jack. A hi lift is a versatile tool, but yes, you have to be careful using it. I would use my scissor jack first, if it was possible. For those rocky, hard to reach areas, that's when the hi lift comes out.
