Thinking about buying a 2007 Sahara Unlimited. The Hinges seem to have some rust on them. Looked all over the internet and can only find stainless steel or black hinges.
Anyone know where I can find Silver hinges if I purchase. Or if anyone has extras to sell to me in any color (I will have them painted).

Thanks guys!!!!

p.s this is my first post, super excited to own a jeep!!!!

Welcome to the forum! I'm pretty sure the hinges are aluminum, so the rust is probably coming from the steel door underneath (just a guess). My suggestion is to take them off, sand and repaint them, and while you're at it, paint the door underneath them. One of my hinges is bubbling and that's what I plan on doing.

Yea they are just bubbling a little bit. If the deal goes through I'm going to pull them off to repaint. Wish I could just find a OEM silver set online.

I just plastidipped mine. Sure it was a pain to tape up the doors with the hinges on. And you almost have to do a new tape layer with every coat to avoid peeling when pulling the tape. However, as you can see, them being black looks sweet and now they're protected with a rubber membrane. I wanted mine protected because my back seat door hinges were catching some serious damage from what was flying off my wheels. That's my take on the situation.

Very nice rig!!!!

its stock so it might look a little weird haha. Once those 35s go on it will look fine.

Found once of those 2007 Saharas with the 4.10 gears directly from the factory.

Thanks for all the help guys, waiting for a call back. If I get it il do a little write up and post some pictures.

Nothing like good old pasti dip haha. Has so many uses. Going to do this before I paint them. Make sure I like the look. Can you post a picture of yours?

If they're bubbling, the plastidip won't look right. It'll basically just be bubbly plastidip. That's the reason I'm going to have to take mine off and sand them down.

Many times you can get the hinges repainted under warranty. Had mine redone at no cost and they are perfect now.
