Yeah, I'm kinda bummed that the price of XJs have gone up so much in my area. I remember seeing them for $1500-2000 all day in decent shape. Heck, now I can't find a decent one for under $3500. Was looking for one for my son and I to build for him. The prices of these things are so close to wranglers now that we ended up with a TJ.
But, to your point. Yep, I actually give more street cred to the folks running the XJs and TJs that I see on the trail.

Just had the change to pick one up for $250 and all it needed was a gas tank which came with it... Was gonna make a trail rig out of it but figured I would end up dropping way too much into it lol. I love xjs though.
