Default Holy crap....50 bucks for 6 nuts!

I went to the dealer parts dept to buy 6 floating nutz for my hardtop. I purchased a hardtop a few weeks ago but could not get the nuts, just the screws. The dealer wanted 8.50 for each one...that added up to over 50 bucks....holy cow? I am using 5/116 bolts with std nutz and washers right now for free, and they seem to work fine for now. I thionk I will make up some nut plates and double sticky them in place. Should cost about 5 bucks when I'm done.

Thats nuts
Just make sure you use washers top and bottom and don’t over tighten them and you will be fine, Watch ebay I have seen lots of them being sold, there's also the quick remove kits you can get on ebay also

I see on ebay they have the quick disconnects and some nutz that come with it. They probably are using non-metric screws (american?) thus the nut replacement. I bet if I could find someone that bought this kit and get their nutz for a sweet deal? If not...I'll just get thier kit....I mean...19 bucks free shipping.....saves me time....as I would not have to make them. Anyone ?????.got NUTZ?

I'm confused now....what do you mean they the hard top just came with screws? What screws? My hard top isn't held down with screws? Forgive me if I'm missing something here.:
