Default Horn not working

Horn has not worked for a while, replaces clock spring and inspected everything in the steering column when it was apart but it appeared to be fine. Put everything back together dash lights associated with clock spring went out, everything but the horn worked. Went to the fuse box fuses were fine but when testing with a electrical probe no power to the left or right horn. Jumped from a hot relay and horn worked. Any ideals where short might be?

My horn inop was fixed with new clockspring. But if I were troubleshooting this, I'd press the horn button and listen for the click of the horn relay in the TIPM. A mechanic's stethoscope might prove useful ($5 or so online). That should tell you which side to troubleshoot. If the relay itself is bad, pretty sure that calls for a new TIPM.

Yep...was thinking TIPM also. Mark has the right idea about troubleshooting it.

Thanks for the feed back I will check the relay and also the TIPM, I get the red lighting bolt at times so it is probably tied to the TIPM as well.
