hot air even when control is set on the coldest setting
im from texas. during the summer i didnt take the hard top off 100 plus. i had the air on the highest setting and was still sweating my butt offcoldest it would get is 65 out of the vents. took to dealer 4 times to no happy endings. i took it to my local guy he sucked the system dry and put it back in. wow what a inprovement 45 to 50.. but it still should have been colder. well it started to cool off here and the one day i put the setting on cold but didnt push the a/c button wow the hot air that was comming out wow. i called the dealer and drove by for the service mgr to see and he agreed with me that this is a mfg problem he checked the jeep and found nothing wrong but still you could feel the heat transfering into the system he said with the heat comming into the system thats no help to the a/c at all. so he put in a valve so i can shut off the flow to the heater core when warmer weather sets in. has anyone else had this problem?????????? [[ yea yea i know take the top off hahahahahaha ]]
I have a similar problem but probably not that extreme. My A/C barely cools just enough to keep you from roasting. If the outside temp gets above 80 degrees, I pretty much have to keep the a/c on high. That doesn't sound right.
The heater cooks, but the a/c sucks. I wonder if one of the dampers in the heater box is allowing hot air past it when it isn't supposed to.
