So today as I was taking off the step bars of my jeep I noticed my chrome detailing and I’m a little iffy about it, I personally like my chrome with the color base of my green pearl jk but i know the car community doesn’t like chrome. What do y’all think should i go matte black to make it look better? Or is the chrome a good setup I have the grill and mirrors chrome as well as the door handles

It looks out of place on a Jeep. The operative phrase is, "Chrome don't get you home." But neither does black, purple, or whatever color anyone may wish to use. It's your Jeep. Build it the way you want it.
I bought one of those chrome mirrors once.........cuz it was cheaper to do that and take the actual mirror out of it vs. buying the mirror as an individual piece. Chrome isn't for me, but it doesn't matter what anyone thinks as long as you like it.
Personally, I dislike chrome on anything newer than 1979. But I agree with the larger sentiment here, do what you like to your vehicle! Heck, I turned my JK into a school bus looking thing. Didn't matter what other people thought, what mattered is that it made me laugh.
Is your ride, do as you see it fit. My personal taste is that Chrome and all Bling days are long gone. However, when it comes to restoration, the model time period is important. For example, a 1968 Camaro with Chrome Cragar Rims, to me, looks proper on that application.
There is no problem with chrome when it’s going along with the color of the car. Anyways, it’s always about different tastes people have. If you are happy with the way it looks there is no problem.
