Manpower!

You've really got to work at them. Just make sure to not strip them, or else you're F****d!

i've got the right size torx wrench, and I've been pulling at this thing for a while...does it need a drill? This seems worse than the taking off the 4x4 shift knob...I'm not even budging these bolts....anyone have any tricks??

Do you have a breaker bar? Maybe you need the extra length for leverage?

NO DONT DRILL!!!!

Mine were a pain before i used a bigger/longer socket wrench. That "broke" them from being stuck and they came right out.

I use a longer socket driver and if that fails, I tap the handle of the socket with a rubber mallet (tap hard)

Default Painted

Are yours painted?
Try using a knife to trim around the bolt.
Also heat works. Use a heat gun or hair dryer.
That is what I did with my TJ and my HighLift rack.

thanks for the advice guys -- obviously my little torx wrench is not doing the trick...yes they're painted (I had the same thought), so I will probably try the hair dryer tonight and go at it again. What a pain for something that should be such an easy install.

Well gave it another try tonight....after hammering the paint around the edges of the bolt and hammering the torx bit into the bolt a little bit i gave it as much strength as i had and they finaalllyy budged. Looks great on the hood instead of my garage floor!
