Default How do you clean the Soft Top?

I've tried scrubbing my soft top with a medium-hard brush and powerhosing it but the dirt won't come out. It's very annoying because when i fold the top down I fold the rear sails up on top of the roof and then fold it but then I get dirt on the inside part of the rear sails.
How do you guys clean the top really well? It's turned into gun metal-brown color.

Nope I'll the simple green method next time I was my jeep cause I just put the water protectant stuff. How often do you recommend applying the mopar water repellent solution to the top?

Default 303

There was a thread recently about 303 that convinced me to give it a try.

I don't really wash my jeep other than hose it off once it a while to get the chunks off.

I haven't done anything to clean the soft top in probably 2 - 2 1/2 year, and I never climb up and do anything to the top surface.

I did not even wash it before using the 303. I simply removed the panels, laid them in the garage and sprayed them down really well. The rest of it I just climbed up and cleaned it with the spray and rags.

I went through 6 or 8 rags but it did an amazing job. It got almost all the embedded dirt and the top looked black again, instead of grey-brown. After it dried I could see a few spots that didn't get as clean but I'm sure it would only take one more go and it would be perfect.

The clear "windows" on the three back panels were really clean and clear and when it rains you can see the water bead up. They seem to be staying cleaner as well, but it's only been two weeks or so.

303 protectant - I found it at the local ACE hardware.

X3 for 303...this is shit is the bomb! It does not pick up dust like Armourall and other plastic protectant sprays. At my local autostore they order me a full gallon of the stuff...cheaper than the smaller spray bottles and I go through it fairly fast as I use it on my Jeep, truck and trailer. Also, the Fabric protectant is great stuff to restore and protect the roll bar padding from the UV rays!
