Default How to increase gas mileage

I have a 2016 JK unlimited that I bought in April of 2023. When I got it, it got about 19 mpg. I have recently replaced the stock wheels with 17" rims and 35" tires and the mpg have dropped to 14 mpg. What can I do to increase the gas mileage? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I mean, you're adding a lot of rotating mass and increased diameter in those tires/wheels. That is just how it is. Think about the additional stress that puts on the gearing and transmission. I'd say with 35s your avg fuel economy is gonna be in that 14-16 mpg range. #JeepLife. There is not much you're going to do to get back to 19-20mpg. Regearing will help the jeep drive better, relieve a bit of stress on the tranny, but then it increases rpms and so that offsets things a bit again. Enjoy the jeep and hope for lower fuel prices. Just about every single thing you're going to do to that jeep will work against your fuel economy.

If you stay with 35’s, be happy with 14 mpg.
you might could improve a bit by going to a narrow 35, but probably not more than 1/4 to 1/3 mile per gallon difference.
