Question How many ordered their Jeep?

How many ordered their Jeeps vs picking from dealer stock? I doesn't seen I can anything significant off sticker. I'm wondering if I should just ask a dealer to order me one.
Please share you experiences.

I searched all over the ATL metro area until I found one up in Jasper. Worth the drive for exactly what I wanted. So I got what I would have if I had ordered it, but without ordering it.

I went to dealership and told them what I was looking for. They did a 1 for 1 swap with another dealership to get me what I wanted.

I ordered mine to get exactly what I wanted. It still showed up without the deep tint windows and smokers group, but had everything else. Chrysler refunded the difference for those two options almost imediatley. Took about 3 months to get delivered!

Ordering mine from the factory saved me about $3k vs. Buying off the lot. Otherwise I would have bought off the lot.

I can't vote.....

I didn't order mine, but I did internet search for months up to 300 miles away to find almost exactly what I wanted. I ended up with everything but dual tops, paid probably $4k less than what everyone else was advertising, and only drove about 90 miles to get it.

I figured I was spending $26K for a new vehicle, it should come in the color I wanted. Back in early '07, it wasn't only difficult to find Jeeps, it was impossible to find them in Jeep Green. Salesman told me they couldn't keep them on the lot more than a day or two. So I ordered. Makes me wonder why they ever stopped making the color, and now why it's rumored that Natural Pearl Green, which is quite similar, is on its way out.

And now you should be able to find the softtop from someone on this forum for around $500 or less, saving you a bunch of money for mods!
