So how much does everybody here offroad with there JK's?

 

That is too offroad for me. I like to get close to nature, but not that up close. I've had my JK for 3 weeks and have been offroad 3 times. So, once a week is my current average.

 

This is my first Jeep (why did it take me so long??) and I have had it about a month now. I have not been off roading before :-( and dying to go, however time demands are to high right now. I hope that will change soon.

 

Not enough hours in a day. I hear ya.

 

We used our jeeps off road as often as we could in the past. With the JK we will be using it as often as we can once I'm healed up. We spend approx. 75% of our free time camping and offroading with our jeeps/4X4's.

 

Hell I offroad half the time just to get to my driveway. Seriously I live on a dirt road with only a few pass points so if someone is coming down as I an heading in I make a quick turn and head under the powerlines which comes out in front of my driveway.

 

Running hard core 4WD trails - maybe twice a year. Running rocky dirt roads that the average grocery getter wouldn't dare - about once a week. The nearest 4WD trail to my house is less than a half mile away. These trails go up into the PahRah Mountains behind our house. It is the Nevada high desert. Very few trees, lots of sagebrush, rattle snakes and scorpions. All that with a few abandoned mines and ghost towns thrown in make for a nice day of wheeling. Only draw back is the dust. Not fun with the top off.

to be honest I would say 0%, since I've had the JK, I've used the 4X4 three times last Winter and so far once to pull a shrub out....I planed to do it sometime this Summer but building a garage has been a priority so that I can finally use both tops without asking anyone for a favor... ..but watch out...I may be posting some pics soon....

 

Yep I'm with rupe on this one. Hence the words "free time" Like who has any of that?!! Most of what free time there is is spent exploring new roads.
