How Much Is My Jeep Worth?
Have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport with 14,500 miles. I am really curious how much I could get if I sold it. I looked on KBB.com and it looks to be worth $29k ish, but it doesn't have a place to add in the value of everything I've done to it so I was wondering what you guys think it is worth. So here is what I have...
3.5 AEV Lift - $1700
35" Trail Grapplers (5) - $1600
17" AEX Wheels (brand name may be wrong) - $500
JW Speaker LED Headlights - $900
Smittybilt SRC Front and Rear Bumpers - $700
JKS Quick Disconnects - $100
Hi Lift Jack 48" - $70
Mopar Side Steps - $200
Teraflex Spare Tire Mount - $500
Those are the larger items with what I paid for them. What would the whole setup be valued at do you think?
Thanks guys!!!!

You will find that most people don't want a vehicle that has been messed with. You mods are almost worthless and you may be better to put it back to stock and sell the extra stuff for around 50% of what you paid for them.
You can always test the waters out by posting on the forums and on craigslist to see if you can find a buyer.

Used that same argument with a dealer when I was shopping - those parts don't add value (10k over KBB) Most common reply ; technically your right, but its a jeep and ppl are buying them from us modded and priced as is. I went out of state to buy mine, saved a bundle.

Ull never get back what u put into any vehicle.... It really a "personal" value.... I put 14k of work into my ram one winter, that spring I traded it in on my first jk..... They gave me 1100 bucks for it..... I've had the truck in Petersons offroad magazine before too..... I'd have to say MOST dealers won't want the extras but then again A LOT of ppl have been jumping on the "southern /country/redneck" band wagon so I've been noticing a lot more lofted trucks and jeeps on the road and at dealers..... Today a Chevy dealer near me had an ad on the radio saying they carry the most BRAND NEW LIFTED trucks. But most ppl buying lofted order it that way.... Now after I totaled that first jk and didn't save recipts for ins reasons I lost the money for my mods and went searching for one already lifted. Now I know Damn well with the 35k price tag and the 32k I eneded up paying for my used rubi the previous owner probably only got at most 20k for it......
Make ur rig stock and sell of ur parts..... Ull get more money.

My recent experience trading in my '07 Sahara echoes the posts above.
Trade in value with aftermarket mods (OME lift, 33" Duratracs, aftermarket wheels, etc.,): $17,000
Trade in value with JK returned to stock configuration: $17,000
Bottom line: don't add aftermarket with the expectation of added value.
