do it and if you are stopped... you will be ticketed... pay your ticket... and dont do it again.

i never looked up the laws in Georgia... just took the doors off and drove around in a high police area... no problems.

you can always play stupid and tell the cop (or bobby) that "if it was illegal to take the doors off, you wouldnt be able to." he might fall for it... play the stupid card and bluff.

or tell him "the doors arent coming in till next week... and i am late for work"

you should be able to look up laws online... whatever system you guys use, should be available online or at a courthouse.

good luck!! and keep us updated... never know when i might want to drive to England or Australia!

This person may know about Australia...
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/members/violet-rose-3719/ - You could ask her...

07JKX- is on it too- the laws should be available online.
We have a DMV site in the US that spells out things pretty clearly.

We dont in NY. i asked one of the cops i know if HE could find out. It is so vague he isnt even sure. I asked him about tire protrusion past the fender flares too, couldnt find a written answer on that one either yet.

Scootaaa I thought Australia was the land of criminals (J/K man). I would think with the outback and all that driving a vehicle without doors would be the norm rather than questionable. I would hazzard a guess that it would be legal if you had outside mirrors just like here. That is a question I never thought I would even hear though just like someone in Africa asking the same thing. I just assumed it was something that was done over there even more than here. I know you got big cities and all but I thought the on the road restrictions were a lot more lax.

If any country made it illegal it would be England. Be careful and look up the laws even if you have to go to the courthouse to do it.

and thats what most people bank on!! the cops do not know, nor do they care about obscure laws regarding doors off... now, if they see you holding a beer, a joint, and have a prostitute in the back... they might pull you over. Then if you piss him off he will go back to his police car and get his book and spend 30-45 minutes finding everything that he can tack onto you.

In Spain you can drive with the doors off as the Wrangler is classified as a no-doors vehicle. Wranglers sold here have a sticker warning that the doors offer no passenger protection and are merely there to keep the elements out.
I reckon in the UK the situation will be similar as type apporval is EU, not local.
