Default I know the clicking debates are getting old

Had my 07 JKXU for about two years. Last year I noticed clicking, determined it was the CV joint. Replaced, problem solved. A couple weeks ago the clicking returned. This time it's not exclusive to turning in either direction, nor is it in 4 wheel. However, experimenting by throwing it in 4wheel seems to have made it worse. The clicking happens while rolling, and now is harder. More aggressive and accompanied by hard rattling and shaking (Not DW just shake). I've heard U-joint, which I'm leaning towards, ball joints, drag link, tie rod ends, and even transfer case. I'm tired of throwing parts, money, and time at her. Any solid answers would be helpful.

I'm also experiencing a hesitance to accelerate between 60-80mph. I can get up to 60 fine, but she doesn't seem to want to cruise at 70-75. I can push through to 80mph going up to 3-4k rpms, but the second I come off the gas, straight back down to 60mph. I can't tell if this is a throttle issue, power loss, or possibly clogged cats.

if it's rotation clicking, it's likely the u-joints. your steering component joints won't make a rotational clicking sound as the wheels are turning.....if that makes sense. also, in 4WD and under load the noise got worse.....would again lead me to u-joint.

I agree with Resharp about driveshaft joints. And a simple removal of the DS will allow you to ensure they are bad before you buy new ones. Are you factory driveshafts or u-joint type aftermarket? Not sure why your Jeep won't hold power. Might have to scan while driving to analyze what is going on using factory or similar software. I used HP Tuners to discover that my Chev engine had Long Term Fuel Trims out. Some scanning and adjustments in the program and all good now.

Clogged CATs and or a failed muffler would create what you describe, (the old banana Beverly Hills cop) The O2 sensor system should be clicking a code and even ECL. The muffler could get away without setting codes or light.
