So I am trading in my 2008 Black JKU 6spd with 39,000 miles on it. I believe it is in really good condition and has never been wheeling (just logging roads). What do you think I should ask from the stealership. I was going to ask $24k? please help me out

 

I would check out Kelly's Blue book and work from there. At least you would get an idea.

 

Try Kelley blue book as suggested for a reference point. Depends on what factory options you have on it, what trim, etc. If plausible, take it to a few dealers and let them know that you are to see what the best deal you can get is. Your best deal (assuming you are going for another Jeep) would be trading for a left over 2012. My bare bones 2009 Jku sport with 50k miles went for $20k trade, in central Ohio, but I got a great deal on my 4 door Sahara too.

Go to a dealership that is willing to use their network to bring in other 2012 Jeeps (or if you chose, a 2013) to get the model you want (don't settle for 3.21 gears, etc). The dealership can be painful, but I'd you get a good salesman that's willing to be patient and do some work, it doesn't have to be. Just know at all times that you don't HAVE to do anything, and can walk away whenever.
