I need a JK!!!
I was browsing some of the threads and can't seem to find it but someone mentioned that a great place to go....although limited amounts and options is carmax??? I NEED a 2010 4dr Rescue Green. I've got 8k saved up and ready to go. I just got, ironically, pre approved from capital one auto finance for 30K, havent called up yet to get the rate and other details of it. Question is has anyone financed through this capital one auto finance? I would totally be willing to fly my happy a$$ out to LAX or i think georgia was mentioned and drive back for a good deal. I was also looking at the 2011, dont know the name of the color but for lack of a better word orange..and that is one bad mofo. My heart is set on the rescue green 2010 I just need to know what you all think i should be paying for it? anything would be greatly appreciated THANKS!!
Go to your local credit union to get pre-approved to buy a JK. Don't use a bank. Banks are for businesses. Unless you're running a business, or have some other special need (like setting up a trust for a deceased relative), there's no reason for you to enter or ever deal with a bank. The credit union can meet all of your banking needs (including a mortgage at the larger ones, as well as credit cards at virtually all of them). Since credit unions are owned by the members (that would be you), they treat you a lot more fairly. If they don't, you get to vote the officers out and put in new ones--or even run yourself.
The new Jeeps at the Carmax in LAX cannot be shipped to another Carmax location. Carmax prices do fluctuate based on Chrysler's current monthly promotions, rebates, and incentives.
Also, since Carmax advertises all of its inventory (including prices) online, why not just use the advertised price to see if a local dealer will match or maybe even beat the Carmax price?
In addition to credit unions, the manufacturer's captive finance company (GMAC, NMAC, Toyota Financial Services, etc.) can provide better rates based on current promotions and incentives, such as 0% for 36 months, etc. (assuming you qualify)...however, these special rates usually apply to specific models and can change every month.

I think you're referring to Mango Tango, neat color. I bought mine thru Carmax , an 08 in 11/09 & I financed thru Capital 1. Truthfully I jumped at it because I could afford pymt & was suprised they would take me on. (not so good credit). Also you could join Tread Lightly for $25 and pay 1% under invoice!
