I've seen a few clubs up here in North Idaho and most have monthly meetings/outings. Unfortunately they are about 2 hours away from my location and always meet on a Tuesday night or something. I dont want to join a 4x4 club, i want to be part of something exclusive to Jeep Wranglers
So, I'm getting pretty sick of hitting the trails alone and would like to start a group in the area. Not a club (Just yet) I just want to get some like minded Jeep enthusiasts together to share stories, trails and experiences together, and once a month, take over some restaurant or dive bar's parking lot to figure out the next adventure.
there is a "club" started in town..... by club, i mean a FB community page. No meetings, no leadership and not much initiative. There are 17 "likes" on the page and I'm the only one that has really posted anything. I've been asking questions and suggested a meet and greet. Ive even suggested making some business card type flyers with the page link and our meet and greet time on them to slip under the wiper blade of other Jeeps! All this with no action from the publisher of the page. Who knows, maybe he or she is busy... im not trying to bash on their attempt to start something, I give em props, I'm just getting impatient.
So Im here seeking advice. Should I just hassle the page more? Should I start my own page/group on FB to kick this thing off? And if anyone has experience with this what is better, group, community, page? Or maybe I should start one from scratch under a new email? Any suggestions would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

 

Have you tried the Staging Area here on the forum yet? Maybe ask there, see if you can find a couple of people in your area to help you get the ball rolling.
