I don't want to sound cold, but that's not your problem. You don't know if the seller is telling you the truth. The seller should give you clear information and be willing to refund your money in full. And if he's not you should pursue other avenues of getting your money back, but be clear of the story.

I saw that you bid for the "MBRP Spare Tire Kit" in FS section, If this is the part, you'll be glad you missed it ! Im sorry if you lost $, the part doesnt work - not joking, the extension bracket will increase the stress on your tailgate and rip the welds, and the four reinforcement brackets do absolutely nothing to help.
