Default I want one, but should I wait ???

I want one, but I'm hesitating. I've read all about the engine stalling, the tops leaking, the door hinges rusting, the radio cutting out, the ESP locking one of the front wheels while the other spins and ends up causing damage, the easily scratchable dashboard, the paper thin sheet metal, the hood that bounces up & down on the highway, and on and on and on.

I still want one, but not one that is going to be living at the dealer's service area getting one problem after another fixed. I'm thinking I should wait until the 08's come out, but will they be any better? Will the majority of these problems be fixed? This is going to be my daily driver and I have a four year old Liberty that has never given me a moment of trouble. I'd hate to trade it in and end up with a constant headache.

But I still want a JK. What to do, what to do.

Just do it....its not like you are going to get one with ALL of the problems that you listed. If you want a brand new car, that is what you are going to have to put up with. Ive had mine for about a month and a half, and the only problem I had was the radio cut off a few times, but that hasnt happened in a long time...

I don't have any problems to complain about, so I'm very happy. Most likely, you will be glad you got one. Let me tell you, I've owned about 8 new vehicles in my life, and I'm most excited about this one...

I havent had any problems at all.. the plastic is a bit easy to scratch, but nothing that some care and control limbs cant deal with, other then that. Dont expect the metal to be any thicker next year, the top wont change design (I dont have any leaks.. just put it on from the front to back) etc. etc. If you get one now, you'll be happy now, if you get one later, be happy later.. Do whatever you feel best about, you're the one paying for it after all.

I have had ZERO problems with my JK so far. I was also concerned, and started a poll on this forum (put "Happy with" in the search box to find it). The results of the poll are overwhelmingly positive, and the VERY vast majority of JK owners say that, if they had it to do all over again, they'd buy another JK in a heartbeat.

The reality is that MOST JKs don't have these "non-material-related" problems. Only SOME do... but, unfortunately, the "good stuff" doesn't stand out in anyone's mind nearly as much as the bad. The JK is not a tank, for sure, but I wouldn't describe the metal as paper-thin, either.

Good luck, and know that you'll be happy either way (it's just a matter of how soon).
