Default I wonder why

Jeep made the soft top such a huge piece of crap, instead of making even a tiny little bit decent. It is the worst feat of engineering I have ever seen. I could have made a better top in grade 3. What is the deal with those black plastic pieces that clip onto the jeep and hold the back window rail thing in? Mine don't stay in place worth s@%$ and when I try to zip up the back window (which is hard as hell) I wind up popping them off. It is a 5 minute procedure to do up the back window without anything falling off or popping out. When all is said and done, the back window is all wrinkly and looks stupid. Ever time I try to use this piece of junk it puts me in a bad mood. How much would have I have to pay someone to take this off my hands? I feel so sorry for the soft top only owners. I would definetly have offed myself by now if I hadn't gotten the hard top. And I'm done.

Tell me, how do you really feel?

Is this the first time it is going on or has it always been like this? The first time it goes on is a huge pain, but gets easier.

This isn't the first time I have used the soft top. Should the back window look like it does in the following picture. It seems like there is too much material in some places and not enough in others. Also, the two black circled pieces of plastic... what is going on with those? They so do not fit well. They just pop off all the time. plus the section of the top itself that slides into the jeep near the back (red arrow) always slides out... wtf? Is this just how it is, and I am the sort of person that excepts my huge investments to be of at least reasonable quality and am out line here?

well I couldn't live without mine, even if there are some nagging things that bug me..ie. passenger bow doesn't fit/seat easily...the rear window is marked up, and gets marked up easily but I can still see out of it. I never did have problems with the brackets popping out but many did, had them replaced, and are fine now. Maybe go that route? And yes, your top looks fine.

In terms of part of the rear sliding out, I do believe that if you don't have the material sitting in the correct place, that once all the windows are in there might be some movement. Mine do move around a bit at times, and other times they don't. When they do move, I have no problems with it. This is a Jeep ya know, the top will not fit perfectly. I think the quality is good, but when anything is done manually, I don't see how there won't be some minor inconveniences.

Alright, maybe I just have some poorly sized parts, I don't know. I think I'm going to use the top part for shade and other wise use my hard top. I really don't agree that this is good quality.

Sounds like operator error with the little black plastic pieces that hold the rail thingie in place.

Only ideas I got are to make sure you're putting the top up/windows in the correct order and manner recommended by the manufacturer. Other then that, I'd say design us a soft top and make some coin for yourself

It could be operator error, but I don't know how to find out if it is? I don't think the parts line up properly... is that possible?
