Talking ID10T Starting Issues

Has anyone else seem to have issues starting a manual? Seems it doesn't want to try to start unless the clutch is in....I got so used to starting my YJ out of gear and with out the need to have the clutch in....So nice when I was jumping it all the time.

BAH....got so used to the AUTO in my truck...I guess it's only been one day...so just have to get back into the right habit.

I also found that the parking break is not where it should be. Go to set the break, and end up pushing the clutch in....

SHESH that's the biggest annoyance with switching vehicles, is that nothing is in the "right" place

I think the layout really doesn't allow for a parking break pedal. I wish it had one, but I just don't know how you would fit it down there.

I think habit, and in some cases preference. I can see positives and negatives for both locations. My Truck and my YJ it was on the floor. My wife WJ it's in the middle, which then it hardly ever gets used.

One of the first times I ever drove an auto, I was getting off the interstate and coming to a stop at the top of the ramp, pushed the clutch in with my usual force and came to a screaching halt.... luckly no one was behind me...scared the shit out of my passenger. heh

Try switching back and forth between a Rubicon and a MINI Cooper S. . . .

at least they both have 6 speed transmissions
