If a Jeep was a boat, what boat would it be?
I'm into wooden boats, and have a t-shirt that has an old Viking quote "Bunděn er bŕtlaus mađur" (Bound is boatless man). I started thinking about how a jeep is a lot like a boat. Bear with me here (instead of as many on the Internet that would say "Bare with me", which suggests you want me to take off my clothes with you, which you probably wouldn't want).
Sports cars would be speed boats, RV's would be Oceanliners, station wagons would be house boats, those loud Hondas would be jet skis. So what would be a Jeep?
My pick is a canoe. You can take a canoe anywhere, it is ready at a moments notice. There is no setup of masts and sails, you just throw it in and go. It may not be the fastest, but can go anywhere the other boats can't go.
And just to back my selection up, here are some 'canoe' quotes:
"If there's a place, Canoe there" -Brent Kelly
"It is my opinion that the double-paddle canoe gives the most fun for the money of any type of boat a person can possess, and I must say that it is my favorite form of aquatic sport." - "Sensible Cruising Designs", L. Francis Herreshoff
"Everyone must believe in something. I believe I'll go canoeing" - Henry David Thoreau
So just for fun, what boat would you compare a Jeep to?

I would say the JK is most like a Viking Longship. It was purposely built, tough and maneuverable and able to tread waters where no other ships could go....

For me its a Boston Whaler:
Not to large, I ain't going to live in it.
Sporty an open when topless, I can surely feel the moist wind going by.
Rough and Rugged, I can ram my Jeep into the land.
With a small outboard engine
