impact wrench
so i think this is one of the most basic tools to do suspension work with
i have most other stuff
i found an add in harbor freight for a 1/2'' electric impact wrench claming to put out 240 ft.lbs of torque
for 40 dollars
also some alluminum jack stands 3 ton for 35 set of 2
my questions are as follows
what is the minimum torque i will need if i get a impact wrench
and 2 what height jack stands are required from a stock to 2.5 in lift

Can I be frank with you? Spend the extra dough and get a compressor. You will thank me later (for a whole host of reasons).
Shop compressors in part based on capability SCFM @ 90 psi. Then you will be looking for a 1/2" pneumatic gun that consumes the smallest amount of SCFM @ 90 psi. When you find your compressor's rating, you'll know what you can handle.
Most cheap air tools that you buy at Menards, or Home Depot, or Harbor Freight, consume huge amounts of air and don't necessarily get the job done. Don't get all wrapped up in the torque numbers, they are mostly bullsh!t anyway.
I have an aging 1/2" Chicago Pneumatic impact wrench and an 11 gal. Coleman Powermate that will put out 125psi. Great combination, couldn't live without it anymore, and totally affordable.
