Default impact wrench

so i think this is one of the most basic tools to do suspension work with

i have most other stuff

i found an add in harbor freight for a 1/2'' electric impact wrench claming to put out 240 ft.lbs of torque
for 40 dollars

also some alluminum jack stands 3 ton for 35 set of 2

my questions are as follows

what is the minimum torque i will need if i get a impact wrench

and 2 what height jack stands are required from a stock to 2.5 in lift

There is a one day old thread on this subject already. If you use the search you will find it. It is located here.

Can I be frank with you? Spend the extra dough and get a compressor. You will thank me later (for a whole host of reasons).

Shop compressors in part based on capability SCFM @ 90 psi. Then you will be looking for a 1/2" pneumatic gun that consumes the smallest amount of SCFM @ 90 psi. When you find your compressor's rating, you'll know what you can handle.

Most cheap air tools that you buy at Menards, or Home Depot, or Harbor Freight, consume huge amounts of air and don't necessarily get the job done. Don't get all wrapped up in the torque numbers, they are mostly bullsh!t anyway.

I have an aging 1/2" Chicago Pneumatic impact wrench and an 11 gal. Coleman Powermate that will put out 125psi. Great combination, couldn't live without it anymore, and totally affordable.

mkjeep informed me of an electric dewalt, rated upto 345ftlb. I just used it this past weekend, popped off a track bolt in about 5 seconds.

Have a link? Is it easy enough to fit in most areas of the suspension?

I'm not so good with linkin, go to Lowes site, search for Dewalt electric impact, I have the 1/2in 120v. I use extentions for those hard to reach areas. It's a kick ass impact to be electric.
