Ok everybody I went to the 4 wheelparts truckfest in Atlanta on Saturday. I have been eyeballing the SUperlift 4 inch lift for my 2 door JK for about a month now and planned on buying it at the show. In Quadratech it is listed for $574.00 with shocks it looked like a top of the line kit and that price seemed a little low to me. So I went over to the Superlift counter and asked the sales rep what the price was on the 4 inch lift, he looked at his price sheet and said it was something like $1099.00 without shocks and that was show price!!! I told him that the same kit in Quadratech was $574 plus shipping. He said I was mistaking it with the 3 inch black diamond kit that was $600 without shocks. I said ok and thanks. I walked away with my feelings hurt and felt like I had alzheimers. It kept bothering me all day, I stopped by the other suspension counters and got prices from them too, they were about the same. Right before I left making a last round trip I stopped at the 4 wheel drive hardware counter and picked up one of their catalogs, hoping they had it listed in there for the same price, low and behold they did $574 dollars. Feeling rejuvenated I walked over to the Superlift counter again with catalog in hand, after I waited in line for 20 mins to talk to the same sales rep I ploped the catalog on the counter and showed him the kit and price. He looked puzzled and went through his price list again and said hold on, he went over to his supervisor, who then immediately pulled out his cellphone and began talking to someone. The sales rep came back over to me and told me that the supervisor was trying to find out what was going on and that they had not seen that price before, I told him that it was in Quadratechs catalog also. 4wheelparts doesn't have this lift listed on their website yet. The supervisor came over after about 10 mins on the phone and said that it was a typo, but he had to sell the lift to me at that price with free shipping. He also said that if I wanted it to buy it today, because the price is being corrected as we speak and new catalogs will be printed in the next few days, the other company's are being notified of the price change and that will be in effect sometime this week. So I walked out of there with an $1100 dollar lift for a total of $609 with free shipping. If any of you were thinking about this lift I would buy it today or very soon, if not you will be paying about double fo what it is listed now. Oh yeh the show was awsome too!!

 

Did they say anything about backorder? I orderd a kit from 4wd week before last and they said the front coils and shocks are b/o until Setp. 7.

 

They said that they had a kit in FL and it would be on my doorstep WED this week. Nothing about backorder, but mine is coming from 4wheelparts.

 

If you look at the Quadratec site and click on the "enlarge picture" for the 3" Black Diamond and the 4" Superlift Kit it is the SAME EXACT PICTURE, JUST INVERTED.

The 4" kit seems like a way better deal at almost $100 less than the 3" kit.

 

i had that same guy try to pull that bs on me this weekend.

i think it was just a ploy this weekend, they would have caught that typo by now it has been in there for like 6 months

I kept going back and forth between the 4 wheel parts semi and the vendors and telling them they said this. got a pro comp stage 1 with mx6's and front track bar for 650. did the same for the wheels and tires came out with lift 35's 17" steelies lugs mount balance and tax all for 1789

 

There's no typo - it's called "salesmanship" or "lying," depending on who you ask...

 

Does superlift not own black diamond anymore. How does the 4' inch superlift kit compare to the 3' inch black diamond kit? I read somewhere that black diamond is owned by another company now.

 

Black Diamond is still listed on Superlift's website. As far as I can tell it's the same lift with diff. springs.

And the b/o must've been mistake. My lift showed up Tues.

 

crapastic... just when i dumped money on something else this happens... ugh, they'll probably update the price by the time i get enough saved up again.

On the Superlift website, the price is listed @ $875 w/o shocks and $1119 with shocks.

There is a guy trying to sell his 4 inch superlift in the 4 sale section for $400 bucks plus shipping. Just thought you might want to know.
