Default Increase idle RPM's

Hi Folks... is there a simple way to increase idle RPM "temporarily" to increase a converted AC unit to OBA compressor output? In the "old days" we simply used a cable in the dash to set the RPM's but the "new drive by wire" systems don't play well that way! I know there are "smart boxes" that can be plugged into the OBD2 port to increase RPM while trail running but I'm talking about a stopped Jeep in neutral. I DID try to do a "keyword" search but came up negative. Thanks... SAR-1

The AEV ProCal will do what you want. Set the dip switches, start the engine, and plug it into the OBD2 port. Rotating the instrument light dimmer switch becomes the idle speed control. When done, stop the engine and remove the ProCal. It has a 10 minute time-out, though.

Thank you for the pointer. I'll check it out online but I'd like to have the Jeep idle run a bit longer than that if I'm using it for the impact wrench for trailside repairs. I'm also considering adding another tank to stretch the runtime out before the compressor needs to kick in. Thanks again... SAR-1

Yeah, 10 minutes goes by pretty fast.
You can unplug it and plug it right back in, if you find something else. (I think. I'll have to try it on mine.)
