Got hit in my Civic a week ago and insurance totaled it, so now I HAVE to get a vehicle. Now it's JK time (finally).
Quiz question:
Do you think I would be able to get the dealer to go lower than this, or do you think that's the best they'll do?
Price of the JK is $32,250 discounted $3,420 to $28,830.
I did some research and the invoice is about $30,826.
I'm already pre-approved for a loan through my credit union.
Here's the Jeep: http://www.baldhilldodgechrysler.net/new/Jeep/2011-Jeep-Wrangler+Unlimited-5c7eb6b60a0a0065001990498f2d2bbd.htm
Thanks in advance for the help.

You can do better by a couple grand I would bet. Just email them the price you would really like to pay and see what comes back. I never negotiate prices on a lot, I do it all over the phone or through email. That way I don't get caught up on how much I want to drive out with a new car and can make better decisions.

I don't think it's a terrific deal, I would think you can do better. The sticker price of 32K seems high for a sport. My 2010 had the same equipment as yours except for the hard top and I the sticker was 28,600.

It's a buyers market, but it's a new interior JK. In the end, deals can be made. Worst case scenario, you just say "No Thanks" and walk away. It's hard, especially if your mind is set on it. Hide your desire and keep the ball is still in your court. You'll get a call back/email on it.
Definitely check out KBB/Edmunds for buyer tips and research selling prices in your area. There is some good advice on there...
Does it have to be 2011? I did a quick search on 2010, seems there are some floating around in RI. That would be a steal of a deal!!! (That's what I did!)

shop around
Do some shopping and dont be afraid to low ball them. With pre approval on credit its a no labor deal for them. Look into other dealers andcheck special pricing offers from USAA and other organizations. They are hurting like alot of people so they will deal not to many folks buying new cars these days. i got 4 grand over kelly for the good condition trade (had a good bit of damage) and 500 below dealer invoice.
