Default Insight just got shut down

Well, it looks like they made good on their promise. I went to refresh the status of my order in Insight, and got a warning/error page:

So, we're stuck with VOTS now. Insight was terrible, VOTS is even worse. Glad my Jeep is already on the train.

My insight loaded just fine right now. And my vehicle shipped back on 8/19/11...

Just got my last status yesterday, got unloaded from train. Sucks for future orders, VOT is a big blackhole of information. It tells you when your order happen, then nothing. then it tells you when the build starts and 24 hours of updates on where it's at, then nothing. Then shipping and then nothing. No estimate for delivery, just nothing.

The best you can do now is call Chrysler/Jeep. The folks on the phone have the status codes, some of them say they don't, some do a 'deep search' and then will tell you. I think they all have the same information. Maybe with enough calls, they'll update VOTS. It still shows 2012 Rubicons as MW3 for most people, even if they aren't - it's obviously horribly buggy. I'm hunting down the technical contact information in hopes to find some way to reach IT. It's quite sad how terrible VOTS is. Working in IT myself, it's frustrating to see things like this.

You can't. Your dealer should be able to give it to you. Good luck!

Insight is shut down for non-dealers, and always required the VIN. VOTS, which is still active: https://www.jeep.com/vots/ only works with last 8 of VIN, first name, and last name. You can get your VIN from the dealer once it has been assigned. Good luck!
