Question Insurance??

Alright, so after reading tons of posts from people saying they have Geico for Jeep insurance I decided to give them a call. I was told by the rep on the phone that they will not write a policy for the Wrangler since it's considered an off road use vehicle. Apparently the flag was raised when listing the customization's and I got to the point of the 35" tires and off-road lighting. Once I spoke those words they said that in my state they can't write policies for vehicles with larger than stock tires and off-road equipment becuase they would be obligated to cover the vehicle if any off-road damage occurred.

Uhm, really?

I find it best to always stray far from the truth, or pay more money. Honesty is expensive. I have Geico and pay about $70 a month on a 2012 Rubi. Im 36, with a clean record... for the younger folks on here that pay more then their Jeep payment just for the ins.

What's everybody's experience with progressive? They are fantastic for my motorcycle and RV. They seem to be very proactive in their desire to cover all types of vehicles for all uses.

I was paying 208 a month with geico, I'm 21. A tree got winched down on my jeep and they were going to cover it but once they saw I had an aftermarket bumper they canceled my policy.
