he has the cop 4 x 4 mount. guessing he pops out the ipad when he goes places. its not a permanent install item usually. my guess he uses it similar to the video. Most people do.

yea will work good either way. if you are looking at it as a more permanent setup (daily use), you would want to get a data package from verizon or AT&T for the iPad. works just like a cell phone then.

 

Just saw that 2gb is $30, 5gb $50 a month... thats a lot, plus a phone bill!!

I do and dont want to use it as a everyday thing.. it would be nice for the radio and nav.. I mean, a aftermark headunit with all that is $800+ I can get a 16gb ipad for $400 and have internet, apps, games, radio, movies, music, navi....

Jw, because when I hook my ipod touch up to my phones wifi, i cant browse the internet or play my games on there, only if its hooked to my router?

That is A LOT of money for the materials used to make this thing. Kinda not wanting it anymore.

 

Google "ipad car mounts". Im sure you will find something in your budget.

 

I wasn't thrilled about the 240 price tag either.. The quality is there and it does just look like a natural part of your dash .Using apps like Pandora and iheartradio instead of listening to local commercials over and over is a blessing. Google maps can't be beat for navigation and it gives your passenger something to mess with if nothing else.
