Its In!!
Hi Folks:
Our bright silver unlimited Rubicon arrived yesterday and we were very impressed. This is one of those purchases that exceeds our expectations.
It is hard to adjust to having 4 doors but the Jeep seems surprisingly agile. The ride is very smooth and the car is eerily quiet for a Wrangler. The issues of leaking tops and poor paint around the hinges was not present on our Jeep.
The sound system is a great improvement over our old Wrangler. The tops are very easy to remove.
The rock rails don't seem like they will take a lot of punishment, and the skid plates seem pretty light. We'll take it out in the desert and I'll report on the results/damage.
The only real downside I've seen so far is the goofy automatic door locks. I cant find any way to override them and they are already driving me nuts.

Congrats..we want some pictures..
in the manual it says to take off the sidestep before offroad use..
I dont recall anything about rock rails
I now have two Jeeps on order. The one coming in next week, on which the color is wrong (Red Rock Crystal with Khaki inside), and the one ordered today (10-28!!) with the correct color (Flame Red/Slate Grey).
Heck with it
A Jeep in the hand is worth two in the bush. If the color is even remotely tolerable, I'm going to keep it. Although on the new one he ordered yesterday, he added the side air bags for free.
