Well after a test drive one day last week and a couple days of negotiations with a dealer I drove home in a 2012 JK Rubicon. I hadn't planned to buy on New Years Eve specifically but it seemed to work to my advantage a bit because I managed to get them up on my trade by $1500 over their original NADA based offer and managed to get $1420 off of sticker.

The new rig is a proper short wheelbase Jeep (JK) with a proper six speed manny trans. It's a hard top with towing group, dark tint, UConnect, and of course the Rubicon package. Oh, and I managed to get The Dozer color which was my first choice. This color is awesome one minute it looks orange the next minute it appears to be yellow.....sweet!!!

The new engine is amazing great smooth power delivery, not to mention the other tweaks. I find it hard to believe that this Rubicon, while being more capable than my 2010 JK Sport, actually rides a tad better and is quieter on the road.

Got the cloth. Never cared for leather interiors in any vehicle.......just a personal preference.

Thanks. Let us know how the refined 6 speed manual trans works out. The prior Year JKs had a few issues...If I ever upgrade to a '12 I will have to debate which trans to choose (auto or manual)
