Default it's here!!!

Woo woo! i'm picking up my new jk at 4pm...sooo excited. I've never driven any 4x4 before and am wondering whats the typical rpm for shifting (i'm so used to shifting at 5-6000rpm, and know that can't be good for this jeep)
Also, has everyone here been stuck with a leaking hard top? if so whats the fix?

Default leaky top

If it leaks just remove the front two panels over the driver and shot gun seats according to the owners manual and reseat them in exactly the same order latch for latch. This process cleared mine right up. Go figure. It sounds odd because I wouldn't think following the manual's sequence could fix it.
Good luck and shift at 2500-3000 in normal driving.

Remember brake in your engine easy. Drive it like gold for the first 300-500 miles. I shift at 2500 unless climbing a hill.

good luck, update us on the paint issues if any since yours just came in.

thanx people, its snowing up here now so it will be a while until I remove the top, this sux because I can't get the soft top out of the trunk.
About the paint, looking close at the front fenders I thought I saw scratches but turns out to be the way it was painted, the door hinges and screws are just painted over so i'm sure that'll chip come spring...1 hour old, 33 km and I love it!

hummwhat?
