about a year ago..i bought a K&N intake...WORST DECISION IVE EVER MADE!..it continuely comes loose, cracks...its horrible. anyway, i need an opinion. should i go about locating a stock airbox and maybe throw on a snorkel? where can i find a stock airbox?
would i get any mileage gain with the snorkel like the intake?

what do u know about snorkels guys? better mileage? pics of how they look? AEV good?

 

I don't personally have a snorkel, but it's on my wish list for the future. But the snorkel is more for keeping water out more so than for fuel efficiency/performance gains. I'd think that mileage gains, if any, would be minimal. I'd go the route of the stock airbox and maybe mod it to be a CAI [there's a thread on here somewhere from a member that's done this]. Now, if you plan on taking it through some deep water now or in the future, you may want to consider the snorkel. Maybe someone with one will chime in.

And like already mentioned, you may want to check out the For Sale section; there's always people selling the stock airbox.
