Default Jack stands 2 door?

I'm welding my gussets in this weekend on my d30 and just got a 2.5 ton jack off of CL with 2 3 ton jack stands on the cheap. I'm just making sure these will support my 2 door with steel bumpers and 3 inches of lift? They fit under it and what not, but wasnt sure if the 3 tons were capable? Also I put the stands under my D30 tubes right? First time doing this lol but yes I can weld.

Also when removing my tires are there any special tools needed? Can I just unbolt them with my impact gun and then re tighten them? Just wanna make sure they don't need to be re tightened to an exact torque?

I assume that the stands are 3 ton per stand. That = 6600 pounds per stand. Or if it is per set than it still = 6600 pounds per set. Can't see that your 2 door can weigh that much.

One ton is 2000 lbs. They will be fine. A benefit of the higher tonnage rating is the stands are taller for say putting on ur frame, as well as hold more weight. Tires should be torqued to 95ft lbs I believe.

Hmmm how can I determine the torque I'm putting on each lug nut? I'm guessing there is a tool to use, but not sure what it's called? I plan on getting an impact gun, but I guess I shouldn't use that to re tighten the lugs??? Thanks guys!

Those jack stands will be perfect. Higher tonnage stands basically just stand taller.

Torque Wrench would be the appropriate tool to use.

Rent from O'riely's or buy from somewhere. Renting is nice cause you get all your money back.
