Had my gears swapped to 4.56 a week ago. Today I noticed a small leak coming from front pinion seal. I would take back to Mechanic that did the work, but he’s on vacation won’t be back til 8-20. I’m supposed to leave on 8-18 to Co with my jeep.
my question is. Should I drive it out there or cancel vacation.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Nikon

I would not worry about that and go on the trip....assuming that it appears to be a slow leak and crap is not just squiriting out left and right. If anything, maybe just carry an extra quart of gear oil with you. get back to the mechanic when possible and have them swap it out. should be a warranty thing.

Thank you for responding. I’m going to go, leak is minimal.
