Smile Jeep jk under $5000!?

Ok guys i thought i would just check here first. I have found a 2008 wrangler 2 door x hardtop auto right hand drive for 5 grand. The jeep does have 200k miles but it was only used for rural route mail delivery. The only known issues is that it does use oil in excess. She said it was using alot and she switched to heavier weight oil and lucas additive and the consumption has slowed quite a bit. What are some solutions to this? What are your opinions on this jeep and is it a good buy? It seems very cheap to me but i wanted to get your opinions.

Thanks Guys

A rebuilt motor is cheap enough if you can do the swap yourself. I don't see why you couldn't buy it to enjoy. I don't think you'd be able to flip it and make a ton though if you were considering that avenue.

well now the jeep was offered to me at 4000! I don't see why i couldn't flip it although i'm not sure if i would want to. I have never seen any wrangler under 10 grand right hand drive or not in my area. It would just be used as toy and only driven a few thousand miles a year. Maybe after a few years i would swap the drivetrain to 5.3 chevy and 4l80.

As long as you don't have to wire transfer the money to Nigeria, it sounds like a pretty great deal

You can buy a rebuild engine 3.8 for 2k let some one install it for 900 bucks

That's 2900 plus the 5k
Puts the jk at 7900 that's cheap

I was also wondering where I could look to find out what it is actually worth? I got on nada to look it up but it didn't give an option for the RHD

Will you have any issues insuring a RHD ? A call to your insurance Co is free, before you purchase

Yes I'm definitely checking on that as well. I don't see why it would be any different than any other jeep to insure though. So what would be considered a good deal? 4000 for any jk sounds like a helluva deal to me. Even alot of late 80s early 90s wranglers are more than that where I'm at . I've seen wrecked jks and others that don't even run and they still want 7 to 10 thousand
