Default Jeep Lineup

is anyone else disappointed in Jeep. Not the JK, they did a GREAT job with those, but they seem to have vehicles for mall cruisers and soccer moms.

Like the liberty or Commander. It's as if they had a week to design some vehicles so they made them crappy.

Kinda random, but I just had to ask your opinions

All i saw as the target consumer was the offroad industry

The Jeep name has been the main financial bright spot that DCX has had to focus on for many years.

I absolutely DESPISE the current generation of Grand Cherokees and the new commanders. I recently lost (totaled) my good ol WJ ltd and have been trying to convince myself to replace it with a new WK or the commander, but I cant do it, I just cant get past the ugly tupperware all over the interior. SOOOOO..... now I am very seriously considering the JK unlimited. I love it, the interior isnt nearly as bad as the new grands and commanders I think. and it seems to ride BETTER than my 99 WJ LTD did. I'm just a little concerned as to how practical it would be on the highway since I spend most of my time there. I DO need all that space though to carry tools of my trade, and I DO need 4WD to get me home from some pretty funky spaces. I am giving up alot as far as creature comforts go, but I only had them because they came with the deal.
If I get the JK it will be my 5th Jeep in a row (3 XJs 1 WJ). so far so good, I just gotta find one and make the deal. Wish me luck!!

Oh, I don't know. We just got a few weeks ago our 4-door Wrangler JK. My wife also has a Wrangler and I previously drove a Liberty. I liked it real well and would get one again. For the price, I thought it was a great vehicle and at a fantastic price.

So, I guess I would say I don'thave any problem with the Jeep lineup. GM and Ford are so struggling financially now adays, I understand why Jeep has tried so many vehicles to increase their market share.

Personally I wouldn't care if they made pink polka dotted cute vehicles, as long as they make the one *I* want.

Okay, let me make it clear that it wouldn't be a pink polka dotted cute one...but you know what I mean.

I agree...COMMANDERS SUCK. Last summer I went with my brother to pismo beach, CA.

He drove MY TJ and I drove HIS commander. ( I dunno why we switched but I whish I hadn't) After I aired down his commander we hit the beach. Just after we had gone down the ramp to the beach the commander starts struggling....in 3 inches of loose sand. (I measured.) Not to mention I had just seen a Geo Metro go ahead of us w/ no problems.
I had to shift from 4HI into 4LO just so I didn't get stuck....pathetic right. So there I was all day stuck with a jeep that could barely go anywhere while my brother had fun in MY TJ on the dunes.

Talking Off to the mall!

Boy I got to tell you how good it feels to know that there are others who recognize that the Liberty is a just a mall cuiser. I have one and all it is good for its trips to and from the mall. I mean, it barely makes it through the mud puddes. But since it is a Jeep, I thought some of you might be interested in a trip I took to the mall.
