Hello,
I have a 2007 JK Jeep with just over 30k miles. Recently the Jeep has been making a weird low buzz/clicking noise for about a second every time a door is opened. This is a new noise and it seems to be coming from somewhere by the center of the dash. This noise is not a open door indicator or anything like that. Does anyone else's Jeep make this noise? Anyone know what it is or how o make it stop?

 

havent heard any door noises...YET!...lol

 

Have you tried taking off the doors?

 

Beat me to it....just run with the doors off all the time, problem solved

 

Mine does it. Always has. I just figured it was supposed to. Curious to see what kind of (serious) answer you get.

 

I'm pretty sure it's just the squirrel that powers the 3.8. When the door is opened, he's scared you're going to get out and leave him again without any nuts.
When's the last time you fed him?

 

probably the squrrel but it is actuall the stero and all the electronics engaging when you open the door it is nothing to worry about

Just feed the squrrel

 

mine does this too. It always has. Mine is a 2010 and I really think it is electrical but I wish it would go away
