Jeep Tunes
Hi all.
New to this forum but not new to Jeep.
We're really excited about the new 2 dr. Rubicon ordered a few weeks ago to remind us of our waning youth. (we've owned '87 & '89 Wranglers in the past & have used them to see much of the beauty that North America has to offer on long, winding road trips through everything from the Canadian Rockies to the Ozarks.
Time to deal the Caddy & get back to where we belong. (mid lfe crisis...no way!!)
Anyway. May be a stupid, romantic question but, hey I'm a stupid romantic guy. (flame away) I occasionally make a mixed C.D. for her to listen to(hopefully not while she's banging it off too many rocks)
in her vehicle & would welcome your suggestions for music to put on the new Jeep disc. (think summer & top down & mud & no responsibilities.)

The live version always gets jacked up.

The Dazed and Confused soundtrack epitomizes summer for me....as does Almost Famous (Elton John's Tiny Dancer=summer), Boogie Nights soundtrack.
Jack Johnson's Brushfire Fairytales for romance...swoon.
(I mention soundtracks cuz they are usually a bit cheaper to download the entire thing.)
My husband is a record producer and always had the coolest stereo gear. On our third date he made me a mix CD that digitally diplayed "Woo Jill" across the dash deck.......I was putty in his hands. (cheap date I guess)
It had Freedy Johnson, Shawn Colvin, The Jellyfish, Nirvana, Soundgarden.....ah yes, I remember it well

Foo Fighters - Times Like These
Supertramp - Give A Little Bit (By the way Foo Fighters does a remake)
Aerosmith - Amazing
Aerosmith - I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing (chicks love it)
NickleBack - Photograph
Hell Yeah - AlcoholinAss (very much a guys song though, one of my favs)
Nickleback - Rock Star
Lynard Skinnard - Sweet Home Alabama (ok that's just cause I'm from Alabama)
Joan Jett - All Fired Up (If you owned cars in the 80's you know this song)
If you need more ideas let me know. Or who knows, this may not be your kind of music.
