Default The 'Jeep Wave' is Alive & Well!

For those that may be worried our doubted that the 'Jeep Wave' was on it's out, I passed half a dozen Wranglers (TJ's, YJ's and JK's) today on my 1/2 hour commute home from work, and they all waved back!
With the top and doors off and the awesome weather today it honestly made me smile.
There is hope!

I'm 8 for 8 right now, fingers crossed that this trend keeps up.

Default Great New England day..

Low 80s little humidity I was out with my girl riding around all day....got like 30 Jeep waves and only 4 non-waves. I like to think the 4 NWs were to busy looking for summer tunes to jam an just didn't see me. In NE the Jeep wave is alive an well.

I wave at everyone, Jeep or not. My kids think I'm a dork.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at most places in Colorado during our vacation there - between Durango and Ouray/Silverton, I must've waved to over 200+ Jeeps (JK/YJ/TJ/CJ) and got less than 10 waves back... I just keep telling myself - most of those were probably rental jeeps with the drivers having no clue about jeeping or the jeep wave . It was disheartening to say the least.

Saw two Jeeps today, got waves from both. One was on the freeway and we were going opposite directions. He was already behind me before I had a chance to wave. Other one was a guy going eastbound, while I was in the turn lane about to go westbound. Older man in his 60-70s, looked like a TJ, doorless + bikini. Starred me down first, I waved, then he waved. The norm is usually 1/10 jeeps will wave.

I get the wave five times as often from the 2 door jeeps....

Seems like the 4 door jeeps never wave here in Baton Rouge.

Thumbs up

I passed a TJ tonight and we both had our doors and tops off going in the opposite direction.. We each gave a nod and waved out the side where the driver's door should be.. If we were just a little closer we coulda started a new trend; the Jeep slap!!

If there wasn't the danger of losing a hand or an arm I'd say you might be on to something!
