One of the cheapest in Canada as well. Makes perfect sense given that its basically a brick on wheels...

Slow moving, high visibility, often armored up and not always the go to commuter vehicle all adds up to less insurance claims and ultimately cheaper to insure.

Last time I checked my old 99 corolla was twice as much to insure than a new jeep. That thing was a death trap though...

 

In FL I pay $752 annually for my wife's 2012 fancy JKU and $638 for my 14 plain JK.

 

It saddens me.

17 year old with an accident. 3 vehicles, I pay $400/month for that craziness on South Florida.

Edit... I wrote less than what I thought.... My KID is 17 and has thrown my insurance out of whack!

In a perfect world, the previous statement would've read, "I have a 17 year old with an accident...."

I'm 37. Wife's 45. My kid is 17. Trust me, at 17 I rocked a 77 F100. Fun times.

 

I live in Va. and I just told my wife about how cheap it was to insure jeeps. We have 1 2013 JKU sport and 1 JKUR and we pay $110 for both. I didn't belive her so I made her show my. yep $110 . I am impressed.

 

I see. I was gonna say, if you're 17 with 3 cars, you don't have a problem yet!
