Default Jerry cans that don't rust through and leak?

I just threw away yet another set of Blitz jerry cans. Even though I store them dry & empty when not being used, they still always manage to rust through the bottom welds and leak gas... or worse, spray a fine mist through tiny rust-through holes.

Anyone found a brand that don't do this? Maybe something in plastic that's the same size and will fit in standard jerry can holders?

Thanks for the tip on the Scepter plastic cans. Hard to get, those boys! I just successfully placed an order from Dave's in Canada to ship here to California... we'll see if it makes it through. I'll let you know if I have a problem.

The company I work for has banned the use of plastic containers for gasoline fuel. There have been to many incidents where static charge can build up due to the plastic container. Metal cans will equalize the natural static charge with it's surrounding making it much less apt to cause a static electric arc as an ignition source.

Just keep the exterior of your cans oiled. It does work, some fluid film on the seams lasts a long time.

My joy was short lived. Just got a notification that Dave's canceled my order, saying the cans are illegal in the US. This is a really, really goofy law.
