JET Performance Chips
Has anyone tried these: http://www.quadratec.com/products/pr...00%2C17608.200
I've been thinking of getting it but not sure if it's worth the $ or not. Does it really improve the horsepower as they claimed? Thanks in advance.

I have the stage II and i like it. I did have to get it replaced by Jet which they did without any major headaches. but i put it on when it was stock and noticed the difference. I was getting 20 mpg with stock rubi tires and the 4.10s with the manual tranny and suspension with the help of a CAI. so the milage went up, and the seat of the pants HP seemed to be a little better as well. It was worth it. However, if i were to do it again, i would go with the Unichip. Its more expensive, but programable for the mods you have. CAI, exhaust, supercharger etc etc, as you add more mods you can have it reprogrammed to maximize your gains. and it works with the supercharger i want so badly. Anyway, if moneys tight, go Jet, if not, go Unichip. thats my .02

There was a write up on another site that people have posted for the door lock programming.
Here is the link: http://www.jeepfan.com/projects/Unichip-JK.php

YellowJeeper, got a question re your chip. Could you now hold the rpms to a specific number say 1000 or 1500 RPM or does it still seem to float and either drift down or over shoot?
Does the unichip take over from the Chrysler DBW system, or just work in conjunction with it?

Wow, after reading that write up it would appear that the Unichip could be a waste of money... It is too bad that you can't get the same gains with a gasser that you can with a diesel...
