Default jk on the beach,was tough ???

i have an unlimited,with a 2.5 coil lift and 33s,i was on the beach and the jeep was tough going through the sand,i didnt rev it over 2 on the rpms,is it cause i didnt air down tires,is this bad for the jeep,seemed like it was working hard,any tips??

When ever off road you should air down especially in soft sand. Your probably fine just remember to try and not spin the tires as this will only dig you in deeper. You want to make slow and gradual corrections in sand and always stop with your wheels pointing straight so you can start up easier.

i air down to a little more than half and it just floats right along

I run my stock rubi tires at 10 psi in the sand all the time when I am a the dunes in Michigan. It makes a big difference in how well you can get around.

That means 15 to 18 PSI.

That reminds me.. I have to get my County beach sticker next weekend...

If you didnt turn off the ESP completely, it tends to get into the way of driving.

The trick to driving on the beach is airing down your tyres and maintaining momentum..
